I started memorizing Scripture early on in my life. My dad was a pastor and would guide us kids in memorizing certain passages from the Bible. I was also part of an AWANA program for kids that helped us memorize verses. My scripture memory journey began out of desperation. About ten years ago, I was a successful, young professional and newlywed. Yet, despite all of the good in my life, my mind was full of fear, anxiety, and negativity. At her Christian Women’s Club meeting, my mom heard Janet Pope talk about memorizing entire passages.
